We have a nice six-game slate Monday with some big-time fantasy talent in play. Consider some of these value options when constructing your lineups…
Goalie
Robin Lehner, BUF vs CBJ ($7,200): Lehner is cheap and holds good upside for tournaments, as I expect him to see a heavy workload and plenty of save opportunities against a Columbus team that's averaged 31.25 shots on goal over the last four games.
Center
Tyler Bozak, TOR vs ARI ($4,200): Bozak is coming off of a two-point game so maybe he will use that momentum heading into Monday's contest after a rough start to the year. The Leafs host the Coyotes, who are allowing the most goals per game (3.82) and second most most fantasy points to centers. Skating with James van Riemsdyk and Mitch Marner should help, too.
Ryan Johansen, NSH vs WPG ($5,400): Johansen is centering the top line with Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg on his wings. This trio was one of the more productive lines in the NHL last season and have shown some production of late. With points in two of his last four games, the Johansen will look to continue producing in a game that should see a fair amount of scoring.
Wing
Boone Jenner, CBJ at BUF ($5,000): The Sabres have been the worst team at defending left wingers this season with regard to fantasy points allowed (including 26 goals and 29 assists). Jenner has just one point in his last five, but is still seeing solid ice time and finds himself skating on the top power-play unit. In six road games this season Jenner has one goal and four assists, which bodes well for him here.
Kyle Connor, WPG at NSH ($4,100): The Jets have been rolling a top line consisting of Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, and Connor — who has been productive as a value asset. He's coming off of a two-point game Saturday against the Devils and has produced five goals and five assists overall. Connor gets a huge boost in upside skating with his linemates on the power play, as well, making the trio an intriguing tournament stack.
Mitch Marner, TOR vs ARI ($4,900): Much like Bozak, Marner had a dreadful start to the season, so much so that he saw some time skating on the fourth line. Over his last seven games, though, he's compiled 10 points (one goal, nine assists). Marner is an asset for the Leafs on the power play, which is worth mentioning in this matchup against the Coyotes given their 79 percent success rate on the penalty kill. They also record the sixth most PIM in the league.
Defense
Oliver Ekman-Larsson ARI at TOR ($5,300): Ekman-Larsson is one of the only Coyotes that intrigues me on this slate, as he draws a good matchup against the Leafs. With 11 goals and 36 assists allowed to defensemen, Toronto has allowed the second most fantasy points to the position.
Morgan Rielly, TOR vs ARI ($4,900): Rielly will get a chance to add to his point totals Monday against the Coyotes, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing defensemen. With points in six of his last eight games (two goals, five assists), Rielly comes in hot and underpriced.
