Will play for national team
Bellemare will join France for the upcoming 2024 IIHF World Championship in May, Alison Lukan of Root Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Bellemare saw action in just 40 regular-season contests for the Kraken this year, notching seven points and averaging 9:50 of ice time per game. With the 39-year-old center out of contract this offseason, it's possible he might consider hanging up his skates or heading back to Europe where he began his professional career.

2018
Bellemare has established himself as a quality bottom-six option in the NHL. He's scored double-digit points in six of his seven career seasons, including each of the last four. In two seasons with the Avalanche, he racked up 18 goals and 33 points while contributing heavily as a penalty-killer. The 36-year-old forward will likely assume that same role in 2021-22 with the Lightning. Bellemare will center Tampa Bay's fourth line and see plenty of usage while shorthanded, but his fantasy upside will be severely limited.
