Slumping Rockets Host Heat
The Houston Rockets play host to the Miami Heat at Toyota Center on Friday evening.

This marks the second game of a back-to-back for the Rockets (38-38), after a 23-point home loss against the Warriors on Thursday. They got out to a slow start and trailed, 33-24, after one quarter. They could not find any answers and trailed by a 16-point deficit heading into the final frame. They put up a fight in the fourth but it was not enough, as they fell short for a third straight loss. Jabari Smith led the way for the Rockets with 24 points, three rebounds and two assists, in the loss. Cam Whitmore followed up with 17 points, four rebounds and a block, while Jalen Green totaled 13 points, four rebounds, seven assists and a steal. The Rockets will look to end the slide as they face the second game of a two-game home stand with the chance to improve on their, 26-13, home record.

Meanwhile, this also marks the second game of a back-to-back for the Heat (42-34), after a four-point home loss to the 76ers on Thursday, They fell behind early in the game and trailed by 10, after one quarter. They brought a better effort in the second and third quarters, but they came apart in the fourth, resulting in their three-game win streak coming to a halt. Terry Rozier led the Heat with 22 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in the loss. Jimmy Butler followed up with 20 points, four rebounds and five assists, while Bam Adebayo logged 14 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and a block. The Heat hope to get back on the winning track as they kick off a three-game road trip with an opportunity to add to their, 22-16, road record.
