Bandenay lost to Eduardo Garagorri via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night in Montevideo, Uruguay on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Bandenay was up against it here as he faced the only fighter from Uruguay on the card. He could not really compete in the standing portion of the fight, and he was outlanded 51 to 26 at distance. His best offense were his takedowns. He landed four of his 10 attempts. However, he could not keep Garagorri on the ground and failed to land a significant ground strike. This might have been Bandenay's last fight in the UFC since he has now lost three-straight in the Octagon.

Tabbed for UFC Montevideo
FeatherweightUFC
June 26, 2019
Bandenay will take on Luiz Eduardo Garagorri at UFC Montevideo on Aug. 10, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bandenay will look to recollect himself after a pair of losses versus Gabriel Benitez and Austin Arnett. He receives his shot at doing so versus Uruguayan Luiz Eduardo Garagorri, who will be making his UFC debut after a flawless 11-0-0 record moving his way up the promotional ladder. Both Bandenay and Garagorri have been versatile with their style of victory, so the two should put on a good all-around show in front of Garagorri's home crowd in Uruguay's capital city.
Drops decision Saturday

Bandenay lost to Austin Arnett via unanimous decision (28-29, 27-29, 27-29) at UFC Fight Night 140 on Saturday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
ANALYSIS
We got to see much more of Bandenay in this fight than we had in his previous two bouts but he showcased some of the same deficiencies, as he was too passive and let the aggressive Arnett take the fight to him for three rounds. Perhaps even more concerning is the fact that his gas tank failed him after Round 2, allowing Arnett to land a takedown and nearly get a finish in the final frame. Bandenay stormed onto the UFC radar with a brutal knee-strike finish of Martin Bravo in 2017 but there are legitimate concerns that his game may not be functional enough to compete at this level. He falls to 14-6 with one no contest as a result of the loss.
To compete on Argentina card
FeatherweightUFC
October 24, 2018
Bandenay will take on Austin Arnett in a featherweight matchup at UFC Argentina on Nov. 17, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bandenay is 1-1 under the UFC banner, most recently losing to Gabriel Benitez via KO (slam) at UFC Chile in May. The Peru native will get another opportunity to compete in South America, this time facing an American in Arnett that is winless with the promotion in two opportunities. Bandenay has landed just a combined seven significant strikes in two UFC bouts, as each have been less than a minute in length. Depending on your perspective, that could be either a positive or negative for prospective fantasy owners.
Falls quick at UFC Chile

Bandenay lost to Gabriel Benitez via KO (slam) at 0:39 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Santiago, Chile.
ANALYSIS
Bandenay did not have a very good night in Chile. He got dropped less than 20 seconds into the fight. He stay in the fight, and tried to counter with an armbar on the ground. However, Benitez used the armbar to slam him and finish the fight. Bandenay looked amazing in his UFC debut last year, but this fight was a setback to say the least.
Will fight Gabriel Benitez at UFC Chile

Bandenay will face off against Gabriel Benitez at UFC Chile at Movistar Arena on May 19, Danny Segura of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bandenay burst onto the UFC scene during his first fight back in August, knocking out Martin Bravo is 26 seconds. He hasn't fought since then, however, due to a wrist injury and visa issues. His opponent, Benitez, most recently secured a unanimous decision victory against Jason Knight and is 4-2 in UFC.
