NHL Waiver Wire: Picks of the Week

This article is part of our NHL Waiver Wire series.

There are only two weeks remaining in the regular season, and there is heightened importance in the real games and our fantasy leagues. Be diligent and make sure to max out your roster moves and game limits.

Remember to double-check the availability of players previously covered in this space that are listed below and keep tabs on the recommended adds in our Daily Puck articles throughout the week. Feel free to hit the comments with any questions or if you have a coin-flip decision.

Elias Lindholm, F, CAR (Yahoo: 24%, ESPN: 33%, CBS: 33%): Sporting a 10-game point streak with four goals, seven helpers and 24 shots, Lindholm is moving the offensive needle. Additionally, his 33 points through the past 36 games highlight his transition into a reliable scorer. There is likely still some positive regression ahead of Lindholm's 7.2 shooting percentage.

Jonathan Marchessault, F, FLA (Yahoo: 38%, ESPN: 59%, CBS: 58%): Currently in a goal-scoring binge with five tallies over his past two games, Marchessault is making a difference for the Cats and fantasy owners. His 1.47 goals per 60 minutes rank 12th among all skaters with 1,000 minutes, and Marchessault is shooting at a high rate of late with 35 shots through his latest 10 games.

Tomas Tatar, F, DET (Yahoo: 32%, ESPN: 53%, CBS: 45%): With a tally against Minnesota on Sunday, Tatar is up to 10 goals, 14 points and 35 shots through his past 16 games. He's in the midst of his

Tomas Tatar, F, DET (Yahoo: 32%, ESPN: 53%, CBS: 45%): With a tally against Minnesota on Sunday, Tatar is up to 10 goals, 14 points and 35 shots through his past 16 games. He's in the midst of his third consecutive 20-goal campaign and is locked into a top offensive role with the Wings. Tatar is a serviceable winger in the majority of leagues.

Bryan Rust, F, PIT (Yahoo: 2%, ESPN: 4%, CBS: 10%): The 24-year-old winger returned from injury Friday against the Islanders, and then he returned to Sidney Crosby's flank Sunday against the Flyers. Rust and Crosby have combined for an impressive 4.05 goals per 60 minutes at five-on-five, so Rust is someone to consider in deep settings.

Anthony Beauvillier, F, NYI (Yahoo: 1%, ESPN: 1%, CBS: 6%): The rookie has sandwiched a recent healthy scratch with six points -- two goals -- through his past seven games. Beauvillier has also moved to center and is skating with Anders Lee and Joshua Ho-Sang. It's an intriguing trio, and Beauvillier is coming off two consecutive 40-goal seasons with 173 points through 114 games in the QMJHL.

David Savard, D, CLM (Yahoo: 18%, ESPN: 25%, CBS: 36%): While power-play time would be nice, Savard's cross-category production at even strength is still impressive. The 26-year-old defenseman has collected four goals, nine points, 38 shots, 33 blocked shots, eight PIM, 26 hits and a plus-13 rating over his past 16 games. It's a reliable floor of production to round out your virtual blue line.

Radko Gudas, D, PHI (Yahoo: 32%, ESPN: 30%, CBS: 25%): The rugged rearguard has taken a penalty in eight of his past 10 games, and he's also an excellent contributor in the hits column (267 through 64 games). Gudas is definitely has a low offensive ceiling, but he's a solid grab if you need help in the PIM or hits categories.

Eddie Lack, G, CAR (Yahoo: 7%, ESPN: 6%, CBS: 9%): A carry over from last week, Lack is finishing the season strong with four consecutive wins and a 5-1 record, .950 save percentage and 1.34 GAA through his past six outings. He could see the lion's share of starts going forward because Cam Ward has struggled of late (3-1-3 with a .900 save percentage and 3.27 GAA).

Jimmy Howard, G, DET (Yahoo: 46%, ESPN: 29%, CBS: 37%): After an overtime win against Minnesota on Sunday, Howard is now 4-1 since returning from injury with a .936 save percentage. You'll likely still want to be a little selective with the opponents you start him against, but Howard should be universally owned.
