Beckwith (ankle) was waived by the Buccaneers on Tuesday with a non-football injury designation, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Backwith hasn't seen any game action since suffering a serious ankle injury during a car accident in 2018, and pressure to cut the roster down now prompts the Buccaneers to move on. As a rookie back in 2017, Beckwith impressed with 73 tackles (60 solo), one sack and one forced fumble across 16 games.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
Beckwith's rookie season began with an impressive training camp in which the LSU product defied the odds - he secured a starting job despite being less than a year removed from November 2016 ACL surgery. However, after compiling 41 tackles over his first five games, Beckwith averaged just under three stops per contest the rest of the way while manning a role on the strong side. His IDP outlook is nevertheless optimistic heading into 2018, considering Beckwith should be more effective with a year of NFL experience under his belt and nearly two years removed from the aforementioned injury. Furthermore, the addition of super-sized Vita Vea up front should also help open up more playmaking opportunities for all three of the Bucs' linebackers.
Beckwith fell to the third round of the 2017 draft due to a November 2016 ACL tear, but was a likely first-round selection had he not been injured. The LSU alum racked up 263 tackles (124 solo), including 24.5 for loss, in 44 games with the Tigers. He added 7.5 sacks, eight passes defensed, one pick-six, three fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles while developing a well-earned reputation as a vicious hitter. At 6-2, 243-pounds, Beckwith could realistically step into the starting lineup at strongside linebacker with an impressive training camp and preseason, given that veteran Daryl Smith isn't expected to return and unproven 2016 sixth-round pick Devante Bond, who missed his rookie season with a hamstring injury, currently sits atop the depth chart.
