ANALYSIS
Kaaya was claimed off waivers by the Bengals in February, but they apparently weren't keen on tendering him at his original-round level (sixth round). The 24-year-old has yet to take a regular-season snap since entering the professional ranks in 2017.

NFL Draft: QB/RB Dynasty Rankings

2017
Kaaya entered the preseason as the No. 4 quarterback on the depth chart hinting that his time in Indianapolis could be limited. However, there seems to be a bit of uncertainty regarding the quarterback position as both Andrew Luck works his way back from shoulder surgery and the Colts field trade offers for Jacoby Brissett. Kaaya could have the chance to earn a roster spot with a strong showing during the preseason, but his fantasy value is near the bottom of the quarterback barrel at the moment.
Kaaya hails from a pro-style offense at the University of Miami (Fla.) and finished his collegiate tenure as the school's all-time leader in passing yards (9,968), so he likely enters the NFL more prepared than the average quarterback. A sixth-round pick this spring, Kaaya will have to beat out 2016 sixth-rounder Jake Rudock just to earn the right to backup starting quarterback Matthew Stafford -- who hasn't missed a game in six seasons. Thus, Kaaya appears far more valuable in dynasty formats than re-draft leagues for the time being.
