Moving to defensive back
Bryd is moving to defensive back after playing running back as a freshman in 2017, Les Johns of Deacon Digest reports.
ANALYSIS
This move comes as a surprise considering Byrd looked to be Wake Forest's second-best running back at worst in 2018 after he ran for 395 yards on 77 carries (5.13 YPC) last year. However, Wake Forest is losing some secondary depth this offseason, so Byrd could carve out a significant role on that side of the ball should he make a smooth transition. As far as his long-term value in deep dynasty formats, Byrd's move from running back negates his utility for fantasy purposes.
