DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Monday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The matchup many people wanted to see between the Rockets and Warriors comes down to a decisive Game 7 on Monday. The winner should be heavy favorites to win the NBA Finals against a Cleveland Cavaliers roster that lacks quality depth. While this game should be plenty exciting on its own, let's try to add even more juice to the evening with a winning DraftKings entry.

Expensive

James Harden, HOU ($14,500): The Rockets got off to a fast start in Game 6, but ultimately suffered a blowout loss. Harden tried to carry the Rockets with Chris Paul (hamstring) out and while he couldn't come away with the victory, he still scored 57.8 DraftKings points. He attempted 24 shots, 12 of which came from behind the arc. Paul is doubtful to play Monday and even if he does, he will likely be limited at best. Look for Harden to get all the shots he can handle once again.

Stephen Curry, GS ($13,700): Curry is having a great series, scoring at least 43.5 DraftKings points in five of six games. He had his best performance of the series in Game 6, finishing with 51.8 DraftKings points. Paul is a very strong defender, so his absence really helps the Warriors backcourt as well. Game 7 will be a tougher task for the Warriors on the road even if Paul is out, but Curry should still provide plenty of value.

Middle-priced

Eric Gordon, HOU ($11,000): Gordon started Game 6 in place of Paul, but only finished with 21 DraftKings points. The positives, though, are that he logged 34 minutes and was 7-for-12 from the field. He won't provide much in the way of rebounds or assists, but he can still be an asset offensively. He played well in 30 starts during the regular season, averaging 21.5 points and 3.8 three-pointers per contest.

Clint Capela, HOU ($9,200): Capela was non-existent offensively in Game 6, scoring two points on 1-for-3 from the field. With Paul out, the Rockets need more scoring from Capela if they are going to win this series. The good news is he still grabbed 15 rebounds, marking the fourth time in the last five games that he has recorded at least 10 rebounds. He's also chipped in plenty of defensive stats in this series, making him worth the risk even with his inconsistent scoring contributions.

Discount

Gerald Green, HOU ($5,000): Green played a series high 26 minutes in Game 6 and should continue to get increased playing time if Paul is ruled out. He only finished with 13 DraftKings points, shooting 4-for-6 from the field and 3-for-4 from behind the arc. He can put up points in a hurry when he's given the opportunity and the Rockets showed they desperately need someone else outside of Harden to step up offensively, so Green is worth taking a chance on in tournament play.

Kevon Looney, GS ($4,100): Looney (toe) is listed as questionable, but it seems likely that he will play. However, Andre Iguodala (knee) is listed as doubtful again. With all the Warriors' fire power offensively, Looney isn't going to score much even when he gets a more significant role due to Iguodala's absence. However, he scored 18.3 DraftKings points in Game 6 and is very much a viable option at this cheap price if he is ultimately able to play.
