FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are seven games in the NBA on Tuesday, six of which make up the main slate on FanDuel. Some of the worst defensive teams in the league will be in action, which could lead to some high scoring contests. Here are some players to consider when crafting your entry that can hopefully put some money in your pocket.

Guards

Jrue Holiday, NO vs. DAL ($9,000): Holiday struggled Sunday against the Celtics, scoring only 18.6 FanDuel points. He was hot heading into that game, scoring at least 43.7 FanDuel points in four straight contests. He played only 28 minutes in the blowout win, so don't read too much into one bad game. He scored 43.1 FanDuel points in his last matchup against the Mavericks earlier this month and should have a better performance Tuesday.

Jeff Teague, MIN vs. LAC ($7,000): Teague has provided consistent production, scoring at least 30.5 FanDuel points in 13 straight games. His usage rate is 21.9% in March, the highest of any month this season. He gets to face a Clippers team that plays at the sixth-fastest pace (101.2 possessions per game) in the league Tuesday, which has him in line for another valuable stat line.

Yogi Ferrell, DAL at NO ($4,900): The Mavericks backcourt is very thin with Wesley Matthews (leg) out for the season and Dennis Smith Jr. (ankle) now set to miss multiple games. J.J. Barea (ribs) did not play Saturday either and is questionable for Tuesday. Ferrell played 32 minutes with the team shorthanded Saturday against the Nets, finishing with 35 FanDuel points. He should play extended minutes again Tuesday, which is key considering the Pelicans play at the third-fastest pace (102.5) in the league.

Forwards

Blake Griffin, DET at PHO ($8,600): The Pistons are falling out of the playoff race, but Griffin has scored at least 43.6 FanDuel points in six of his last eight games. He's filled up the stat sheet across the board, recording at least six rebounds and six assists in four of his last five contests. Tuesday brings a favorable matchup against the Suns, who play at the second-fastest pace (102.8) and allow the most points per game (113.9) in the league. Don't be surprised if Griffin has another monster game.

Josh Jackson, PHO vs. DET ($6,500): Jackson normally produces when he gets extended playing time, scoring at least 34.4 FanDuel points in each of the last five games that he has logged at least 30 minutes. The Suns could be missing two key players Tuesday with T.J. Warren (knee) doubtful and Devin Booker (hand) questionable, which would leave plenty of playing time for Jackson. If they both don't play, Jackson has a strong chance to out produce his price point. Even if Booker does take the floor, Jackson is still someone to consider at this reasonable price.

Stanley Johnson, DET at PHO ($3,900): Johnson re-entered the starting lineup Monday against the Kings, scoring 26.3 FanDuel points in 25 minutes. He had played 17 minutes or fewer in both of his two previous games as a member of the second unit, so the move into the starting five provided immediate results. With the Suns struggles on defense, Johnson is a viable option in tournament play.

Centers

Andre Drummond, DET at PHO ($10,600): Drummond has had a couple of rough offensive performances lately, scoring five points or fewer in two of his last five games. He has at least 16 rebounds and at least two blocks in five of his last six contests though, still giving him a high floor in DFS. The Suns have been crushed by opposing centers, allowing the most FanDuel points per game (66.8) to the position in their last 11 games. He will deal a significant blow to your budget, but his upside is also very high.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC at MIN ($8,200): Jordan is one of the most consistent rebounders in the league, grabbing at least 15 boards in 10 straight games. The Clippers are playing small now with Blake Griffin in Detroit, which leaves even more rebounds for Jordan. He has dominated the Timberwolves in their two previous meetings this season, averaging 17.5 points and 16.5 rebounds. If you don't want to pay up for Drummond, Jordan could also provide significant value.

Mike Muscala, ATL at UTA ($4,000): Muscala has played at least 21 minutes in four of his last five games, scoring at least 23.7 FanDuel points in three of those contests. He should be in line for even more playing time Tuesday with John Collins (ankle) ruled out for the game. The Jazz will be without Derrick Favors (knee) as well, which also makes things easier up front for Muscala. He won't cost much, so he might be worth the risk in tournament play.
