FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Monday brings a busy schedule in the NBA with 16 teams in action. With the Cavaliers, Bucks and Sixers among the teams taking the floor, there is some high-end talent available for your FanDuel entry. Let's take a look across the entire price scale and highlight some favorable matchups that could help you end the night a winner.

Guards

Tyreke Evans, MEM at BKN ($8,000): Evans hasn't missed a beat in two games since returning from injury, scoring at least 40.1 FanDuel points in both contests. He played 38 minutes Saturday against the Nuggets, so it doesn't appear he'll have any limitations moving forward. His 28.6% usage rate is tied for 20th in the league and he gets to face a Nets team that allows the third-most points per game (110.3) in the league, so he could be in line for another impressive performance Monday.

Lonzo Ball, LAL at IND ($7,500): Ball is struggling offensively, scoring nine points or fewer in four straight games. Despite that, he's still managed to score at least 36.6 FanDuel points in three straight contests. In those three games, he averaged 7.7 rebounds, nine assists, 2.7 steals and 1.3 blocks. His ability to contribute across the board gives him a high floor with the ability for a monster performance if his shot is falling.

Cameron Payne, CHI at NY ($4,900):Payne started in place of Kris Dunn (toe) on Saturday and played well, recording a double-double on his way to 27.4 FanDuel points. He's the Bulls preferred option at the point with Dunn out as Jerian Grant only played 16 minutes while Payne logged 32 minutes in that contest. If you need to save some money at point guard, Payne has significant upside Monday.

Forwards

Draymond Green, GS at SA ($8,500):The Warriors are decimated by injuries right now with Stephen Curry (ankle), Klay Thompson (thumb) and Kevin Durant (ribs) all sidelined. Green has shown he can thrive in a more prominent role, scoring at least 50.5 FanDuel points in back-to-back games with them sidelined. He's a threat for a triple-double with defensive stats based on his increased usage, making him a viable option even with his price on the rise.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN vs. MEM ($6,600): Hollis-Jefferson missed almost a month this season due to injury and played off the bench when he returned. He performed well and has finally pushed his way back into the starting lineup, starting both of the last two games. He continues to produce, scoring at least 37 FanDuel points in each contest. The Nets play at the seventh-fastest pace (100.9 possessions per game) in the league, so the added playing time is even more meaningful for Hollis-Jefferson's value.

Jeremy Lamb, CHA at PHI ($4,800): The Hornets will be without Nicolas Batum (Achilles) on Monday, which should push Lamb back into the starting five. He started when Batum was injured earlier this year and played well in the role, averaging 16.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 14 games. The Hornets and Sixers are both in the top eight in the league in pace of play, leaving Lamb as an excellent value play.

Centers

Marc Gasol, MEM at BKN ($8,500): The Grizzlies have been resting Gasol at times with nothing but a high pick in the draft left to play for. That shouldn't be an issue Monday, but don't be surprised if he sits one of the games during their back-to-back set Wednesday and Thursday. He gets an excellent matchup Monday against the Nets, who allow the most FanDuel points per game (58.7) to opposing centers. Don't hesitate to add him to your entry.

Enes Kanter, NY vs. CHI ($5,900): Kanter is starting to see his playing time decrease, logging 23 minutes or fewer in three straight games. His production has suffered, scoring 26.5 FanDuel points or fewer in each of those contests. However, the Bulls have been experimenting with different big men combinations recently and the results have not been good as they have allowed the third-most FanDuel points per game (61.8) to opposing centers in their last 11 games. Even in limited minutes, Kanter could be in line for a valuable performance.

Al Jefferson, IND vs. LAL ($4,700): The Pacers might be thin up front against the Lakers on Monday with Domantas Sabonis (ankle) out and Myles Turner (ankle) questionable. Both players didn't play Saturday against the Wizards, resulting in Jefferson scoring 30.3 FanDuel points in 26 minutes. The Lakers have a lot of size up front, so Jefferson will likely see plenty of minutes if Turner sits again Monday. He won't cost you much, so he could be worth the risk in tournament play.
