DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Saturday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Saturday will be a quiet day in the NBA with only five games on the schedule, four of which make up the main slate on DraftKings. There will be fewer options to choose from than usual, but that doesn't mean you still can't end the night a winner. Consider adding the following players to your entry who all have favorable matchups.

Guards

Lou Williams, LAC vs. ORL ($8,500): Williams had an off night from the field Friday against the Cavaliers, shooting just 6-for-17. He still scored 15 points and somewhat salvaged his line with seven assists as well, resulting in 30.5 DraftKings points. He started at point guard and the Clippers won, so he could remain in the starting lineup Saturday. The Magic allow the second-most DraftKings points per game (49.4) to opposing point guards, so don't be surprised if Williams has a better offensive showing.

Jonathon Simmons, ORL at LAC ($5,400): Simmons scored 25 points Friday against the Kings, marking the first time he scored more than 20 points in a game in almost a month. With Evan Fournier (knee) and Aaron Gordon (concussion) likely out again Saturday, Simmons should again have an expanded role in the offense. Add in the fact that both the Clippers and the Magic are in the top eight in the league in pace of play and Simmons becomes a viable mid-tier option.

Dillon Brooks, MEM at DAL ($4,900): With the Grizzlies missing Tyreke Evans (ribs), Andrew Harrison (wrist) and Mario Chalmers (hamstring), Brooks is averaging 22.7 points and three three-pointers in his last three contests. He has a 25.4% usage rate through five games in March, more than five percent higher than any previous month this season. Look for him to continue to get extra shots Saturday with all three players still sidelined.

Forwards
Tobias Harris, LAC vs. ORL ($8,100): Harris has thrived as a member of the Clippers and has been especially hot of late, scoring at least 40.3 DraftKings points in three straight games. He's playing power forward with the Clippers now deploying a smaller lineup without Blake Griffin, a position which the Magic allow the fifth-most DraftKings points (48.6) per game to this season. Harris could be in line for another big performance Saturday.

Markieff Morris, WAS at MIA ($5,600): Morris has provided consistent production for the Wizards lately, averaging 15 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in his last six games. Although it came in a game that went into overtime, Morris scored 38.5 DraftKings points against these same Heat on Tuesday. At this reasonable price, it might be worth taking a chance on him excelling again in their rematch.

Mario Hezonja, ORL at LAC ($5,600): Hezonja moved into the starting lineup and played 33 minutes Friday, but had an underwhelming performance, finishing with 21.3 DraftKings points. He shot just 5-for-13 from the field, so his line could have looked better if a couple more shots fell his way. He's averaged 15.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.9 three-pointers in 17 starts this season, making him someone to consider again Saturday.

Centers

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. ORL ($7,800): Jordan has always been an excellent rebounder, but he's dominating the glass with the Clippers now playing small, grabbing at least 20 rebounds in three of his last four games. Although he doesn't take a lot of shots, he has still posted a double-double in nine of his last 11 games. Considering the pace at which both teams play, Jordan should get plenty of chances to reach another hefty double-double Saturday.

Montrezl Harrell, LAC vs. ORL ($5,600): Harrell is averaging a career-high 10.3 points per game this season and has scored at least 19 points in four of his last five games. He's been very efficient from the field, shooting 69.6% during that five-game stretch. As one of the main weapons off the bench for the Clippers, he should be heavily involved Saturday as well, making him a viable cost-effective option to consider.

Jarell Martin, MEM at DAL ($4,800): Martin (knee) returned to the Grizzlies on Friday and played 30 minutes, which is an encouraging sign that he should see plenty of minutes again Saturday. He scored 19.8 DraftKings points against a tough Jazz team and gets a better matchup against a Mavericks team Saturday who is not nearly as proficient at defending opposing front court players. If you want to take a chance on a cheap center in tournament play, Martin might be your man.
