There is only one game on the NBA schedule Tuesday, so today's slate of DraftKings contests will also stretch into three of the games being played Wednesday. Let's dive into the four total games and find some of the best options available for your entry.
Guards
Ben Simmons, PHI vs. POR ($9,800): Simmons is not only the best rookie in the NBA, but he is one of the best players in the league overall right now when it comes to DFS value. He is averaging 46.6 DraftKings points per game but has been even better lately, as he has scored at least 50 DraftKings points in three straight games. He's pretty matchup proof, so get him in your lineup.
Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN at CLE ($6,300): Dinwiddie is rolling as a starter for the Nets, scoring at least 35.8 DraftKings points in three straight games. The Cavaliers struggle to defend opposing point guards as they have allowed the ninth-most DraftKings points per game (48.1) to the position. Dinwiddie scored 40.3 DraftKings points when these teams met earlier this season, making him a great option at this price.
Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs. CHI ($5,200): Clarkson has thrived coming off the bench for the Lakers this season and is tied for the 17th-highest usage rate (28.8%) in the league. If his shots are falling, the team has showed no hesitation to leave him on the floor late in games. This game presents a great matchup against a terrible Bulls team, so look to get him in your lineup.
Forwards
Lauri Markkanen, CHI at LAL ($6,500): If Markkanen is getting extended minutes, he usually produces. He has played at least 30 minutes in a game nine times this season, averaging 34.8 DraftKings points. He has played less than 30 minutes five times, averaging only 26.0 DraftKings in those contests. Now that Bobby Portis has come back down to Earth, look for Markkanen to see plenty of minutes and be productive against the Lakers.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, BKN at CLE ($6,400): The Nets have lost some of their top talent to injury this season, leaving Hollis-Jefferson to shoulder a more significant load offensively. His usage rate is a career-high 20.4% as a result. The Cavaliers are allowing the third-most points per game (110.9) in the league, making Hollis-Jefferson a great option at a reasonable price.
Allen Crabbe, BKN at CLE ($4,600): Crabbe is finally seeing consistent playing time as he has played at least 30 minutes in five straight games. He had not played more than 30 minutes in any game this season prior to this stretch. He cashed in the extra minutes and averaged 27.1 DraftKings points in those five games, making him a nice value play option.
Centers
Dwight Howard, CHA vs. WAS ($6,700): Howard has significant upside as he already has three games this season with at least 16 points and 15 rebounds. He is coming off his best game with the Hornets when he demolished the Minnesota Timberwolves for 25 points, 20 rebounds and four blocks Monday. Wednesday brings a traditional center matchup against Marcin Gortat, which favors Howard's skillset. While he is the third-most expensive center on the slate, his price is still reasonable.
Julius Randle, LAL vs. CHI ($5,200): Randle is coming off his best performance of the season as well as he scored 39.8 DraftKings points Sunday against the Denver Nuggets. The key is he played 32 minutes, marking the second time in the last three games where he has played at least 30 minutes. It's worth taking a chance on this trend continuing Wednesday based on the upside he can provide with extended time on the floor.
Marcin Gortat, WAS at CHA ($5,100): Gortat went through a horrible stretch earlier this season where he scored 14.3 DraftKings points or less in four of five games. He looks to have come out of his funk, scoring at least 29.8 DraftKings points in three straight games. This should be a fun battle with Dwight Howard that also results in Gortat being a viable cost-effective option.
