FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There is only one game on the NBA schedule Tuesday, so today's slate of FanDuel contests will also stretch into three of the games being played Wednesday. Here are the players taking the floor in those four games to consider for your entry.

Guards

James Harden, HOU vs. DEN ($11,600): Harden has continued his dominance even with the return of Chris Paul from injury as he has averaged 58.2 FanDuel points in the two games since his return. Paul has been on a minutes limit, but Harden is still going to put up big numbers based on his NBA-best 36.2% usage rate. The Rockets and Nuggets are both in the top-12 in the NBA with regards to pace of play, so get ready for another big night from Harden.

Lonzo Ball, LAL vs. CHI ($7,700): For all of his struggles this season, Ball has recorded a triple-double in two of his last five games. His horrible shooting percentages won't kill you in DFS like they do in season-long formats, leaving him with significant value based on his counting stats. Going against one of the worst teams in the league in the Bulls could be a recipe for success for Ball on Tuesday.

Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs. CHI ($4,800): Clarkson has thrived coming off the bench for the Lakers this season and is tied for the 17th highest usage rate (28.8%) in the league. If his shots are falling, the team has showed no hesitation to leave him on the floor late in games. He and Ball both have significant upside in this game.

Forwards

Paul George, OKC vs. GS ($8,500): George is on a hot streak as he has scored at least 41.4 FanDuel points in four of his last five games, three of which he scored at least 51 FanDuel points. Although his 26.2% usage rate is his lowest since the 2012-13 season, it still puts him within the top-40 in the league. This should be a high-scoring affair against the Warriors where George can thrive.

Lauri Markkanen, CHI at LAL ($6,200): If Markkanen is getting extended minutes, he usually produces. He has played at least 30 minutes in a game nine times this season, averaging 32.7 FanDuel points. He has played less than 30 minutes five times, averaging only 24.6 FanDuel in those contests. Now that Bobby Portis has come back down to Earth, look for Markkanen to see plenty of minutes and be productive against the Lakers.

John Henson, MIL at PHO ($5,300): Henson has been productive in nine games since moving into the starting lineup, averaging 8.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks in 26 minutes per game. Wednesday brings a great matchup against a Suns team that has a lot of size up front in Tyson Chandler, Alex Len and Greg Monroe. There is the potential he could see increased minutes, making him a great option at this price.

Centers

Nikola Jokic, DEN at HOU ($9,000): Jokic continues to provide excellent all-around production, making him a solid choice for your entry on most nights. Wednesday is shaping up to be another big game because of not only the fast pace at which both teams play, but also because the Rockets are allowing the eighth-most FanDuel points per game (54.3) to opposing centers.

Steven Adams, OKC vs. GS ($6,300): Adams missed three consecutive games due to injury, but has scored at least 15 points in both games since his return. There are plenty of mouths to feed in the Thunder's starting five, but Adams can still provide points on putbacks as he is averaging a career-high 4.0 offensive rebounds per game. With so little depth behind him, Adams has value even against a Warriors team that likes to use a lot of small lineups.

Robin Lopez, CHI at LAL ($4,800): Finding a good cheap option for this slate is no easy task, mainly because the return of Chandler for the Suns muddies their rotation. That leaves Lopez as one of the only viable options left, even though he has seen his value decrease since Portis' return. He is coming off of his second double-double of the season Sunday against the Suns and gets to play his brother Brook Tuesday. If you want to take a chance in tournament play, Lopez is someone to consider.
