Troy Williams

As expected, Williams played a modest role during his first Kings season, seeing action in 21 games during the 2018-19 campaign. The 24-year-old averaged 5.3 points (on 44.9 percent shooting) and 2.8 rebounds across 14.9 minutes at the NBA level following a 34-game G League stint with Stockton. There, Williams was able to post an impressive 19.7 points 6.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals across 29.1 minutes while flashing a solid all-around skill set. During the coming season, Williams could be headed for another extended stay in the G League, considering Sacramento seems stacked at the small forward position that Williams is best suited for. The 24-year-old's best chance for regular playing time could therefore come in Stockton, barring a preseason trade elsewhere. Williams has proven a decent three-point shooter who still has plenty of room for improvement as far as efficiency, as he's yet to eclipse a 31.8 percent success rate from distance over his first three pro seasons. He seemingly has the potential to average double-digit points and haul down a respectable amount of rebounds if getting minutes in the 20s on a regular basis, but that opportunity almost assuredly would have to come elsewhere during the 2019-20 season.
