Sparkman has that little shimmy that makes the women in opposing cities want to puke. Quite frankly, he has statistics that make all of the hometown fans want to puke as well. He has allowed 33 home runs in 175.1 innings of major-league work, leading to a career ERA of 6.01. The highlights of his season were seven innings of shutout baseball against Tampa Bay on May 1, and a complete-game shutout win against the White Sox right after the All-Star break. His lowlights included four different starts in which he allowed three home runs. He managed just a 13.6 K% and had a 8.60 ERA when outside the comfy confines of Kauffman Stadium.
