Cord Sandberg

Sandberg, a third-round pick out of high school in 2013, chose to sign with the Phillies over a football scholarship to Mississippi State. His numbers in his first two seasons in the minors are underwhelming, but it is important to remember that Sandberg was a two-sport athlete in high school and did not focus on baseball year-round. He needs time to accumulate at-bats and hone his skills. Sandberg is considered a good athlete that runs well with the potential to hit for power down the road.
